Together with our Roman Catholic sisters and brothers, please join us as we kick off the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation. Martin Luther nailed his 95 theses to the door of the Wittenberg Castle Church on October 31, 1517, and in anticipation of 500th anniversary, a liturgy has been prepared specifically for these types of celebrations by the Liturgical Task Force of the Lutheran-Roman Catholic Commission on Unity, a global task force, one body of which is the Lutheran World Federation. Celebrations have commenced throughout the world, and here in downtown area. Father Michael Weldon and Pastor Sarah will co-preside at worship.
Please put this on your calendar! More information will follow as details get ironed out -- it is expected that our own Bishop Talmage will be preaching, and we know for sure the Grace Chancel Choir will join together with the Saint Mary's Choir for the joint service.
