Grace Lutheran Church is located at 1124 North Third Street in Phoenix, Arizona. We are in downtown Phoenix near the Roosevelt Arts District, ASU Downtown Campus, Arizona Center and the Phoenix Convention Center.
Our office is open from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, Monday through Thursday. We are closed on Friday.
Pastor Sarah Stadler
Pastor Sarah has been serving God and God’s people at Grace since November 2010. Prior to serving at Grace, she served as associate pastor at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Denver, Iowa for 4 years. A graduate of Luther College in Decorah, Iowa and the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago, she also completed a year of Lutheran Volunteer Corps in Chicago where she worked at a shelter called Interfaith House. Originally from northern Minnesota, Pastor Sarah is excited to follow the call of the Spirit wherever it leads her and the congregation! Email Pastor Sarah
Administrative Assistant Adrienne kaye
Adrienne Kaye has served as Administrative Assistant at Grace since May 2017. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, live music and spending time with family. Adrienne is involved with various non-profit organizations to serve the community. Email Adrienne
Caretaker Lester Andrews
Lester has been serving Grace Lutheran Church as the caretaker since January 2014. Originally from Texas, he earned a B.A. degree in criminal justice from West Texas A&M University in 1986. Lester has over 20 years of professional experience working in criminal justice and case management. He has worked in the areas of criminal supervision, child abuse and neglect, domestic violence, and public assistance to name just a few. organist and choir director sam fleming
Sam Fleming was named organist and choir director at Grace in April of 2017. In his capacity as organist, Sam is responsible for furnishing music for the traditional Sunday worship services and any other weekly services where music is needed. Sam also rehearses, conducts, and performs with the Grace Chancel Choir and Bells of Grace in his role as music director. An Arizona native, Sam is known throughout the United States and parts of South America as an organist, composer, arranger, conductor, and music educator. He graduated from Brigham Young University-Idaho with a Bachelor of Musical Arts in Organ Performance and Composition. As an organist Sam has performed throughout the West Coast as a soloist and with several choral ensembles and chamber groups. His compositions have most recently been commissioned and premiered by various choral ensembles at BYU-Idaho, the Fountain of the Sun Community Chorus, and the Salonnieres Chamber Ensemble of Phoenix. An active conductor, Sam serves as the associate music director and accompanist for the Fountain of the Sun Community Chorus in Mesa. He has also has served as conductor of various church and university student-run choral and orchestral groups and as music director for the BYU-Idaho Theatre Summer Camp. Sam is a member of the American Guild of Organists and an alumnus member of the BYU-Idaho Student Composers Society. He resides in Mesa, Arizona with his wife Diane. Email Sam
Praise Band Leader Chad Cole
Chad Cole has been with Grace since June 2014, leading the contemporary praise band. Chad is a Phoenix native, graduating from Arizona School for the Arts just down the street from Grace. Chad started at ASU in classical bass performance, but is now pursuing a degree in jazz performance. Playing the bass has given Chad the opportunity to play across the U.S. and parts of Europe. He is enjoying his time here at Grace and is learning much from the people here. All are welcome to join the Grace Praise Band! Email Chad
Outreach coordinator kim davidson
Kim Davidson is a graduate from Arizona State University, with both a Bachelor and Master of Social Work degree as well as a Master of Public Administration degree. She has experience with those experiencing homelessness and substance abuse, writes grants for non-profits, and is also an US Air Force veteran. She grew up in the valley, and while she has lived in various locations around the US, she has always returned “home” to Arizona. She is the proud mother of two adult daughters. Email Kim
Social Worker Jeff Jirak
Jeff is our Sunday morning social worker and has served Grace since 2002. He works with us on Sundays with the rest of his week devoted to his full-time job as a therapist with Healthcare for the Homeless. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Independent Substance Abuse Counselor in the state of Arizona. He is of Slavic descent, and his last name is pronounced "You Rock." Email Jeff
