Spiritual Growth at Grace
All are welcome to participate in our Spiritual Growth opportunities!
Adult Education
Sundays @ 9:45 am, North Room
Each Sunday morning during the school year, people of all ages gather for Sunday school opening at 9:45 am in Hope Hall. After singing, praying, receiving offering, and sharing our “God-sightings,” we split into age-appropriate classes. Adults meet in the North Room. Current Topic: Book of Romans
Bible Study
Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (WELCA) Bible studies meet throughout the academic year on the second Thursday of each month at 9:30 am in the North Room.
Biblical Equipping meets the third Thursday of each month at 9:30 am in the North Room.
GLOW (Grace Lutheran on Wednesdays)
5:30 pm: Dinner
6:30 pm: Bible Study (for adults), Drama Workshop (for children & youth)
GLOW includes dinner and Bible study each Wednesday evening during the academic year. During Lent, we will be worshiping in the sanctuary at 6:45 pm instead of having Bible study. During the spring, we will continue with a study on Psalms.
Children and youth are encouraged to attend the drama workshop in the basement, including throughout the season of Lent. On Ash Wednesday, children and youth are encouraged to attend the Ash Wednesday worship in the sanctuary. The drama workshop will lead a presentation in worship of Bible stories and themes.
Cursillo & Tirosh
Cursillo is a Spanish word meaning 'short course'. Cursillo de Cristiandad means 'short course of Christianity.’ When one speaks of Cursillo, it is usually describing a 3 day spiritual retreat which revives the spirit and rejuvenates the church. There are always weekends coming up!
Tirosh is a similar program for high school youth. The next Tirosh weekend is January 2013.
Grace has had many individuals and couples participate in Cursillo and Tirosh and is always encouraging more to participate in this mountaintop experience and ongoing spiritual formation. To learn more, please contact our Cursillo liaisons, Phyllis and Rick Schilling.
Cinema Club
2nd Saturday of Each Month @ 5:00 pm
God speaks through many types of media. Films can be both entertaining and spiritual nourishing, and Cinema Club tries to make a connection between contemporary media and our faith. Cinema Club also hopes to create community through conversation and meals.

Knit Wits Prayer Shawl Ministry
The Knit Wits prepare prayer shawls for members and friends of Grace who are in the hospital, homebound, or going through any sort of crisis. These shawls are tangible reminders of God's love. If you would like to knit or crochet the shawls--or even if you would like to learn how to do so-- please come to a Knit Wit meeting on the second Tuesday of each month at 10:00 am in the North Room. If you cannot make the meeting but would like to participate, please talk with Carol Staffieri.
