CROP Hunger Walk
Outreach Programs
Grace has a number of Outreach Programs helping our community and our neighbors. We invite anyone to join us at any of these great programs.
Photo Policy Whenever you are here for any program, and especially an outreach program, please do not take photos of anyone outside your own volunteer group. When you wish to take photos of anyone else, you must receive the express permission of everyone who is photographed.
Connections
Join us on Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. for Connections, a free community meal with live music in Hope Hall. Connections is an informal gathering to celebrate and honor the diversity of our downtown community, where all are loved and accepted. The evening is focused on those looking for spiritual connectedness through an alternative to traditional worship for those uncomfortable or not interested in conventional Lutheran worship services.
Connections welcomes and encourages all to worship and connect including:
● Young professionals and young families living in the downtown area.
● ASU Downtown campus undergraduate and graduate students living on-campus, ASU staff, and associate facility members working on the Downtown campus.
● Anyone looking for a place to belong.
Pitchfork Pantry
Pitchfork Pantry is a student volunteer-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit under the ASU Foundation whose goal is to improve the nutrition security status of all students at ASU. The pantry provides fresh and non-perishable food items as well as hygiene and clothing items to ASU students.
The Pitchfork Pantry is currently open Tuesdays from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m.
Grace Room
On Monday mornings at 9:00 am, the Grace Room opens for members of our community in need of clothing, blankets, and hygiene supplies. If you would like to donate items for the Grace Room, you may bring them to the church office during office hours. The Grace Room is primarily coordinated by volunteers from Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Sun City West.
Items that we could use right now include the following.

THANK YOU for your support of this ministry!
Heat Respite
Our mission during the summer months is to provide a space for heat relief while building community through the sharing of community resources, meals, water, and ourselves in a place of being, belonging, and becoming. Beyond providing hydration, respite and wellness checks during the summer months, the Heat Respite at Grace Lutheran Church has greater aims. In line with the mission of Grace, the Heat Respite program aspires to reach out to not only the physical needs of all those who come through the doors, but to their fullness as human beings.
