“In the end, the most important thing is not to do things for people who are poor and in distress, but to enter into relationship with them, to be with them and help them find confidence in themselves and discover their own gifts. . . . The promise of Jesus is to help us discover that the poor are a source of life and not just objects of our charity”

- Jean Vanier

You are not required to ‘believe’ anything to participate in heat respite. All are welcome at Grace and those who come during the heat respite reflect that, with a diverse range of backgrounds. Below are some of the areas in which we need support during the summer.  You do not need to be an expert at anything.  We have experienced folks who will be happy to "show you the ropes."  The most helpful thing you can bring is a smiling face and loving attitude.  We are an inclusive community, and all are welcome to participate!

If you would like to volunteer, contact us at 602.258.3787 or officemanager@graceinthecity.com.
