All those who consider themselves young adults: you are welcomed and encouraged to attend Theology Pub each second Sunday of the month at 6 pm at Angel’s Trumpet—810 N 2ndStreet, just south of Roosevelt, near the church.  Each month, an intriguing topic is raised with readings and questions to guide conversation.  Plus, we meet other young adults from around Phoenix and enjoy some good food and drink.  Please join us!

Pulpit Exchange with Spirit of Hope Lutheran Church, Mesa

Sunday, June 23

Our next pulpit exchange will be with Spirit of Hope Lutheran Church in Mesa on Sunday, June 23 when we will welcome Pastor Glen Stadler (Pastor Sarah’s dad) as our preacher.  Pastor Sarah will be going to Spirit of Hope for their Saturday evening and Sunday morning services that weekend.  If you would like to accompany her to worship in East Mesa and nurture our connections with the people of God at Spirit of Hope, please talk with her.

Campfirmation - June 30-July 5

The confirmation youth and confirmation-age youth of the congregation will be attending Campfirmation on June 30-July 5.  Seth Morey will be attending as a counselor, and Pastor Sarah and Jamie Ramirez will be attending as staff.  Campfirmation is a week-long camp experience at a camp in Prescott for the youth of ELCA congregations, mostly from the valley, who come together for worship, Bible study, kayaking, rock climbing, team building, learning, and growing in faith.  If you would like to “send” mail to one of our campers, please turn it into the church office.
