Ash Wednesday, February 18 begins our Lenten journey toward the cross and empty grave with worship at 6:30 pm in the sanctuary.  Worship will include celebration of Holy Communion and Imposition of Ashes.

Beginning Wednesday, February 25, we will worship on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 pm with the theme of Building God’s Community.  Each Wednesday, we will pray, sing, receive Holy Communion, hear from a member of the Grace community, and build God’s community.  Please come to worship and build God’s community here at Grace!

Weekly Themes

Lent 1—February 25: 1 Corinthians 12:12-20, One Body, Many Members

Lent 2—March 4: 1 Corinthians 12:21-25, All Members Have Honor

Lent 3—March 11: 1 Corinthians 12:26, We Suffer and Rejoice Together

Lent 4—March 18: 1 Corinthians 12:27-30, All Members Have Gifts

Lent 5—March 25: 1 Corinthians 12:31-13:13, Love: A Still More Excellent Way

During our mid-week Lenten services, we will lift up our prayers by tying ribbons around our Lenten cross.  In order to tie together Wednesday evening and Sunday morning, we will invite worshipers to do the same on Sunday mornings.  This will be a visual reminder not only of our prayer concerns but of how we suffer and rejoice together in prayer twice a week.

We are currently looking for new pancake breakfast partners!  If your congregation is interested in regularly or occasionally reaching out to the community through our Sunday morning breakfast, please contact Pastor Sarah at pastorsarah@graceinthecity.com or 602-258-3787.
